About Alexis

Alexis, originally from England, embarked on a diverse career path that began with his college education and led him to the skies as a pilot. He achieved the distinction of becoming one of the youngest pilots in England to obtain his Private Pilot's License. Continuing his aviation pursuits, he also ventured into the realm of commercial piloting and worked as an Air Traffic Controller in his home country.

Alexis grew up surrounded by a diverse collection of exotic plants and carefully nurtured seeds from all over the world. His parents, Niall and Jill Milligan, are highly respected horticulturalists and renowned gardeners in the United Kingdom. Working alongside them, Alexis gained invaluable knowledge of plants and landscaping, helping create their celebrated public gardens on England's southwest coast. Today, Alexis continues the family legacy, combining the wisdom passed down by his parents with his own passion for gardening.

Drawing upon a wealth of expertise, Alexis possesses a deep understanding of plants, especially drought-resistant plants, including Aloes, Agaves, Cacti, and succulents. Each garden, with its botanical diversity sourced from around the world, emerges as a captivating masterpiece that artfully captures the essence of nature.

Currently residing in the picturesque Santa Monica Mountains, he has cultivated his own thriving garden adorned with a diverse array of exotic plant specimens. This personal sanctuary stands as a testament to Alexis's passion for horticulture and his ability to create flourishing landscapes in harmony with nature.
